What is Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS)?

Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) is a rare nerve disease. It is considered to be a variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome. Symptoms of MFS include:

• Paralysis of the eye muscles
• Lack of reflexes in the tendons
• Abnormal muscle coordination
• Weak muscles
• Respiratory (breathing) problems or respiratory failure
