How does the healthy brain function? What parts of the brain are affected in disorders like multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, dementia, epilepsy, stroke, movement disorders, headache, and pediatric neurology? How can I keep my brain healthy?
You'll find answers to these questions and more at the Brain Health Fair, a family-friendly, interactive free public event at the American Academy of Neurology's Annual Meeting, sponsored by Neurology Now, among others. This year's festivities take place in Vancouver, BC, Canada, on Friday, April 15, at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
Browse the booths of patient organizations, explore an interactive walk-through brain and body works exhibit, and get the opportunity to hold a human brain. Check out the science fair, where local students showcase projects on brain, spinal cord, nerve, or muscle science. At the cranial nerve station, you'll discover how nerves govern your senses. And just for attending, you'll be eligible to receive a free bike helmet.
At the Brain Health Fair, you'll find neurology experts, high school students fascinated with the brain, fun free gifts and reading material, and curious members of the general public, eager for fitness, nutrition, and health information.
