Do you have a compelling story about living with a neurologic condition or caring for someone who has one? Have you documented it on camera? If so, the American Academy of Neurology encourages you to enter its 2016 Neuro Film Festival(R), a YouTube video contest designed to raise awareness about neurologic disorders such as dementia, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Previous winners include The Curse, Bhutan Epilepsy Project by Farrah J. Mateen, MD, PhD; Dystonia Devin by Devin McClernan; and Hope for HumaNS by Suzanne Gazda.
Share your story about how brain disease has affected your life or that of a loved one. In the process, you'll inspire others and educate people about why more research is needed into causes, treatments, and cures.
Videos must be no longer than five minutes and must be submitted by March 1, 2016. The winner and runner-up will receive $1,000 and $500, respectively.
For more information about how to submit your video or to view submissions from previous years, visit http://NeuroFilmFestival.com .
