True Stories Come Alive at the Neuro Film Festival
The Neuro Film Festival raises awareness about why more money is needed for research to find cures for brain diseases.
With only a couple of weeks left before the deadline, time is running out to submit your video to the American Brain Foundation's 2013 Neuro Film Festival. The Neuro Film Festival is a contest to raise awareness about why more money is needed for research to find cures for brain diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, stroke, autism, and Parkinson's disease. Winners could receive up to $1,000 and a trip to San Diego to see their film shown to a live audience at the annual Neuro Film Festival event. The deadline to enter is January 31, 2013.
Last year, the $1,000 grand prize—chosen by a panel of judges for the film exhibiting creativity in a technically polished presentation—was awarded to Zach Jankovic for The Astronaut's Secret. The $500 runner-up prize, also chosen by a panel of judges, was awarded to Patrick Moeschen for Duchenne with a Future: The Power to Live. the fan favorite, chosen by peers as a result of public voting on video entries, was awarded to Paola Vermeer for Multiple System Atrophy.
